It still exists

Me (to man at hardware store): Man! You have a great price on this 14.4 volt deWalt drill, the only thing that is making me hesitate is that both my father and sister have 12 volts and we won't be able to swap batteries.
Man: Yeah, it's a great price...Later: Your dad is really going to like the extra power of this drill. (indicative of what he heard of previous interchange)
Me: It's not for my dad, it's for me. Man's eyes bug out of head.

I've been building my whole life, when am I going to quit running into fools who thing building is a guy thing? The only consolation is that through the course of the conversation I believe I earned his respect...
